Alive
So, what is my soul like? I think my soul is alive, romantic, and free. Why alive? Because I try to meet everything with a curiosity that is still fresh. I love heroism, romanticism, and every kind of story that can move a person. My soul is free. I want to live freely, to keep freedom of thought, and to hold on to an independent spirit.
The wilderness
There is a line from Ferryman that I have always loved:
Demons love souls that are fresh and alive.
The more alive your soul is, the more urgently they want to devour it. But those same living souls are also the ones with the resolve to cross the wilderness. I added that last sentence myself. Still, that is the kind of soul I hope to have: something fresh, youthful, and intensely alive.
Idealism and fate
I am also an idealist, and a perfectionist. I often want things to be completed perfectly, even though that is usually impossible. But perhaps every event is still perfect in one particular way. Perhaps it is the timing. Perhaps it is fate. Perhaps it is some small arrangement within the universe that I cannot yet understand. Most of the time, I think I would call it fate.
Fate has a way of making each thing perfect in its own place. Whatever you lose, you will gain something else. Whatever happens may become good for you later, or good for me later. That is how I understand it.
My own judgment
I care deeply about the connections between people. I will not change myself simply to match the people or things I identify with. Sometimes I may be changed by something I do not agree with, but more often I stay with my own thoughts and my own judgment.
At certain decisive moments, I believe my judgment is right. Even when it turns out not to be, I can look back and know that, within the environment I was in, the education I had received, and the experience I had gathered, it was the most perfect decision I could have made. I will always believe that.
The people fate gives me
I am changed by many of the people I meet through fate. Perhaps they change me for the better; perhaps, sometimes, for the worse. Yet I still believe that in the end they have given me something useful. Otherwise I would never have absorbed that part of them. If something from another person has entered me and remained, then somewhere in it I must have seen something worth keeping.
What remains
Many years ago, someone said something to me. Even if we never had the chance to meet again, they told me, nothing that has passed truly disappears. It stays in your heart and becomes part of you.
I think that is exactly what has happened to me. Whenever a person or an experience has given me something good, even something small, I try to remember it. Some details have faded. But when they return to me by accident, I can still be moved very deeply. I believe those people and those moments already live inside my heart. At certain times, in ways I may not even notice, they have already changed me.
The only real possession
Whatever form those changes take, I believe they are ultimately good. They may come with flaws, but in the end they still help me live my life more fully. Everything I have gone through, every memory and every experience, will continue to be part of me.
Perhaps one day I will use a skill that someone gave me. Perhaps I will suddenly remember one small thing. And when that happens, I may be overwhelmed by how much it still means to me. I think this is the one meaning I can find in having lived through all of it. After all, memory is the only possession that is completely real.
At least, for now
I think this is me. I have said what I understand about my own soul, how I see other people, what I believe about connection, and how I make sense of the things that have happened to me. I think I have said it as clearly as I can.
This is my soul, at least for now: alive, free, romantic, and often moved. This is the way I hope it will remain. In the end, my heart will keep working through this same logic. Thank you for spending the time to see it.
Fragments
The soul is such an enormous subject that it is difficult for me to find one perfect idea, or one perfect moment, and write it all with intention. So when something comes to me unexpectedly, I record the fragments and gather them later. Perhaps what can be assembled from those fragments is also the shape of what has stayed with me most deeply, and what has moved me most.
Thank you, truly, for reading this far. I hope you can feel something of what I have experienced, and I hope there may be something here for you to carry away. I cannot promise that there will be. But I genuinely hope that something I write might help someone, or return to them one day and move them. I have met people who affected me in exactly this way. I hope I can keep giving off a little light and warmth, and affect someone else in return. It may not be very likely. Still, that is what I hope.

Inspire Endless
Why is this website called Inspire Endless? I think the name may be one of my values too.
I once saw Hasselblad's slogan: Create to inspire. I loved the word inspire, and I began to think of it as inspiration without end. I hope that, with a soul that stays alive and a curiosity that feels almost limitless, I can keep inspiring something, building something, and bringing something into being.
Perhaps this is the broad meaning of my life: to explore without end, and to be inspired without end. These thoughts may sound grand. Perhaps they are not really that grand. But the things that move me this deeply are where all of the meaning seems to be. To be inspired by what moves us, and perhaps to create something from it. That is all, more or less. Thank you.
